Tours Around Cannes

Along the famous La Croisette you can admire the fabulous shoreline of Cannes, the city of sun. You then arrive at Le Suquet and you can climb the hill that will bring you into the old town where you will immerse yourself in Cannes heritage, before heading right back to where you started by going through Rue dAntibes to witness the beauty of this stylish side of town with all the many fashion boutiques. One can start to walk on Cannes seafront on the Boulevard de la Croisette off the Pierre Canto port and beside the garden. When one crosses over, you should walk along the beautiful sandy beaches and see all the splendour of the nearby palatial hotels.

This is where all the major celebrities hang out during the famous Cannes Film Festival. At the end of La Croisette, one will arrive at the Palais des Festivals, where there also is a tourist office here. Around the steps of this famous palace, you can admire the plaques that have handprints of all the famous stars on the pavement. The likes of Sharon Stone, Harrison Ford, Stephen Segal, and the amazing director Martin Scorcese.

The old port lies behind the Palais des Festivals. Stroll around the St. Pierre Quay and you will see lots of laneways and stairways, which lead you to the Place de la Castre which is at the top of Le Suquet Hill. In the old castle is a painting collection and also a museum about ancient civilisation as well as a fine Provencal gothic style church that is over 400 years old. From here you have a panoramic view over the town and its beautiful coastline. Head back down the hill by taking the old streets of Cannes, and try and find Rue du Suquet, which has lots of fine restaurants and cafes. Around Rue Meynardier there are great shops around here and the street brings you into Rue dAntibes, which is the main shopping street. Maybe take a break and have a coffee while you overlook the sea.
